Our Exciting Results!

You've tried retinol before. Maybe it worked, right up until the flaking, the tightness, the red patches that had you quitting by week two. So you stopped, and your skin went back to where it started.

Smoothara is the formula that fixes that trade-off.

We built it around encapsulated retinol suspended in a ceramide and phospholipid base, the same lipids your skin barrier is made of. The retinol goes to work on texture and fine lines. The barrier system keeps your skin calm while it does. That's why most people can use this nightly from the start, instead of white-knuckling through a purge phase.

Questions? We've Got You Covered

Most people notice softer, more hydrated skin within the first week or two — that tight, dry feeling after cleansing starts to ease. Around weeks three and four, texture smooths out and makeup tends to sit better. By week six, fine lines around the eyes and forehead typically look softer and skin looks firmer and more even in tone.

Be realistic with yourself about the timeline. Retinol works on your skin's natural renewal cycle, and that cycle takes weeks, not days. Consistency matters more than anything else here — nightly use for six weeks will do far more than sporadic use for six months. Results vary from person to person depending on skin type, age, and sun exposure.

Smoothara was formulated with sensitive skin in mind. Retinol has a reputation for irritation, so we built the formula around a barrier-support system — Ceramide NP, phospholipids, and milk lipids — that helps cushion the active and keep skin comfortable. Shea butter, meadowfoam seed oil, and glycerin add rich hydration on top of that.

That said, retinol is an active ingredient and some adjustment is normal. If your skin is reactive, start two to three nights a week and build up as you tolerate it. Always patch test on your inner forearm first and wait 24 hours.

A few things to know: this product contains fragrance and milk-derived lipids, so avoid it if you have a fragrance sensitivity or dairy allergy. Retinol is not recommended during pregnancy or breastfeeding. And if you have eczema, rosacea, or any diagnosed skin condition, check with your dermatologist before adding a retinol product to your routine.

Smoothara is a nighttime product. Retinol breaks down in sunlight and makes skin more sun-sensitive, so evening application is where it works best.

Cleanse and let your skin dry completely — applying retinol to damp skin increases irritation. Take a pea-sized amount, dot it across your forehead, cheeks, and chin, then smooth outward. Avoid the immediate eye area and the corners of your nose. That's it. No need to layer anything over it unless your skin feels like it wants extra moisture.

In the morning, cleanse as usual and apply a broad-spectrum SPF 30 or higher. This part isn't optional. Sun protection is what protects the progress you're making, and skipping it while using retinol works directly against the results you're paying for.

If you use exfoliating acids or vitamin C, alternate nights rather than stacking them with Smoothara.

Yes — it's one step, once a day, and it takes about fifteen seconds.

That's part of the design. Smoothara combines retinol, two peptides, ceramides, and rich moisture in a single product, so you're not layering four bottles before bed. Apply it after cleansing at night and you're done.

The only other habit it requires is morning SPF, which you should be wearing regardless. If you already do those two things, Smoothara doesn't add anything to your routine — it just makes the moisturizer step work harder.
